Img.656 (#D9) Wrocław City Hall. The Wrocław City Hall is counted among the finest Gothic buildings in Europe. It is worth noting that one of the mayors of the city of Wroclaw - whose portrait reportedly still hangs to this day in the portrait gallery of the above Town Hall - was a Polish autochthon and owner of the village of Kolenda near Milicz, named "Graf Haupfman Nietzke von Kolande." The last descendant of that mayor of Wrocław, i.e. an autochthon who considered himself to be Polish, and at the same time a good friend of my ancestors on the distaff side, was probably intentionally murdered in 1945 immediately after the liberation - as the suspicion of his murder is described in item #G1 of the web page named Battle of Milicz, while the order to murder all those who did NOT obey Hitler's order and did NOT escape deep into Germany, is mentioned in item #C1. of that web page Battle of Milicz.
