In the second week of July each year, Milicz drowns in the scent of lime blossoms, of which there is a veritable profusion. Their sweet, honeyed fragrance brings an atmosphere of life, joy and procreation to the town. Many people, including myself, then come to this city from all corners of the world just to enjoy the scent. I photographed the above row of linden trees sprinkled with a generous inflorescence along the northern outskirts of the "Karłów" holiday resort (about 2 km south of Milicz, on the road from Milicz to Wroclaw), where in July 2004 I lived in a large and comfortable camping house rented at the time for only 50 zlotys a day.
