Img.274 (#F2):
A photograph of a section of an "oil palm" plantation in the Malaysian jungle, in which the stumps of simultaneously dying palm trees of a sizable section of this plantation are clearly visible. This is because all individuals of the "oil palm" born in a given year, precisely synchronize with each other their dying and always die at exactly the same time. I took the above photograph on September 2, 2010 near the village of "Nilai" south of Kuala Lumpur.
