Img.261 from Tropical fruits (#H4)

Img.261 (#H4): A tropical Malaysian fruit called "pulasan". It belongs to the same family as "rambutan". In fact, for a European its appearance and taste is indistinguishable from the "rambutan" fruit. In the center of the plate, 3 whole fruits are visible. At the bottom, 2 fruits are shown after they have been peeled from their spiky casing (similar to the casing of our chestnut). In the upper part of the photo you can see two empty such casings remaining after removing the fruit from them.
