Img.231 (#D2b): Cut off from the palm tree and a whole bunch of ripe oil palm fruit fell to the ground. As you can see from the above photo, it looks somewhat similar to our grape bunches. Such a bunch weighs several kilos and is usually more than half a meter long. It consists of literally hundreds of small palm nuts. Each single such palm nut from this bunch is the size and color of our blue plum (such not yet completely ripe and partly red)
